About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our close-knit team at the Sydney Shoulder Unit, a leading orthopaedic clinic with locations in Edgecliff and the Sutherland Shire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a high-quality specialist setting, supporting experienced surgeons and helping to deliver outstanding patient care.

This part-time position offers set clinic days and the potential to expand into a full-time role for the right person.

Clinic Days

Monday – Full day at Edgecliff Clinic

Tuesday – Optional shift at Edgecliff Clinic

Wednesday – Morning at Sutherland Shire Clinic

Thursday – Full day at Edgecliff Clinic

Friday – Optional shift at Edgecliff Clinic

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients in a warm and professional manner

Manage appointments, bookings and clinical schedules

Handle incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries

Maintain accurate patient records using medical software

Assist surgeons and staff with administrative support tasks

Keep the reception area neat, organised, and welcoming

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in a medical reception or medical admin role is preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

High level of attention to detail and organisational ability

Proficiency with medical practice software (e.g. Genie) or the ability to learn quickly

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to excellent patient service
