Senior Human Resources Advisor

RobLawMax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Advisor for a permanent opportunity at our client’s mine site located in the Bowen Basin, Central Queensland.

This is a Monday to Friday FIFO role from Brisbane, with flights, accommodation, and meals provided. You'll be living onsite and working in a supportive environment that values safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Role:
Working closely with the HR Manager, you’ll be instrumental in delivering strategic HR initiatives, supporting frontline leaders, and ensuring consistent, high-quality HR service delivery across the full employment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals on site
• Drive and implement the people strategy across the business
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations and industrial relations matters
• Oversee core HR functions including recruitment, payroll, compliance, and performance management
• Analyse HR data and trends to support proactive decision-making and process improvement

About You:
To thrive in this role, you’ll be a confident and capable HR professional with strong ER experience and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels.
• Proven experience as a Senior HR Advisor, ideally within mining or heavy industry
• In-depth knowledge of employee relations and the Fair Work Act
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and time management skills
• Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday and SAP
