About the role
Scotch Oakburn College is seeking experienced and passionate Early Childhood teachers to join our relief teaching pool. As a casual Early Childhood teacher, you will have the opportunity to support our young learners in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role offers flexible work arrangements to suit your availability.
What you'll be doing
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children
Observe and assess student progress, and provide individualised support and guidance
Collaborate with the Early Childhood team to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Early Learning programs
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Demonstrated experience in teaching and caring for children aged 3-5 years
Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and the ability to implement engaging, play-based learning experiences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
A genuine passion for Early Childhood education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of young learners
Current Working with Children Check, registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board and First Aid certification
