Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to manage your own caseload while contributing your expertise to our diverse client base.
The Senior Speech Pathologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and intervention services for individuals with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing assessments for clients of all ages.
· Provide accurate diagnoses and develop individualised, evidence-based therapy plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
· Deliver high-quality care, engaging and effective therapy interventions in clinic, home, school, online and in community settings as required.
· Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to professional standards and NDIS requirements.
· Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, families/carers, support coordinators, and other relevant stakeholders.
· Work autonomously to manage your schedule and caseload efficiently.
· Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by Speech Pathology Australia.
· Oversee other speech pathologists and provide mentoring.
· Participate in regular team meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
· Current Registration with SPA
· Australian working rights
· Current professional indemnity insurance with adequate coverage.
· National Police Check
· WWCC
· NDIS workers screening check
· A reliable car with comprehensive insurance coverage
· Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a speech pathologist
· Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating a diverse range of clients across all age groups
· Understanding of the NDIS framework, including goal setting and reporting
· Strong understanding of evidence –based practice and its application in clinical settings
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
· Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Desirable Requirements:
Experience using cloud-based software (Power diary/ Zanda or similar software)
