The Role
The Town’s Parks team is currently seeking an Irrigation Maintenance Person to assist in the carrying out of maintenance operations on our irrigation systems. With your knowledge of safe irrigation practices, you will positively contribute smooth functioning of the parks team, as we continue to provide vibrant surrounds and natural areas for the community.
Selection Criteria
Previous experience and knowledge related to the Key Responsibilities, in particular installing, operating, monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems controlled by a central management system.
Ability to interpret and amend irrigation reticulation design plans.
Demonstrated working knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of relevant plant and equipment, and commitment to safe working practices in a maintenance and works environment.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.
Ability to respond appropriately to supervisor direction and adjust to a variety of work environments and carry out diverse tasks as required, including working with limited supervision at times.
Polite, professional and well presented.
TAFE training in Irrigation, Horticulture, Landscaping, Construction or related fields desirable.
Relevant licences – Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence (“HR” class licence desirable).
Safety Awareness Training (White Card desirable but can be obtained following employment).
Apply First Aid Certificate desirable.

Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa)
Valid WA drivers licence.
