Our Lady of Good Counsel School is a Catholic primary school located in Karrinyup, Western Australia.

The school has a vacancy for a Gardener / Grounds / Maintenance person. This is a full-time position.

Normal hours will be 75 hours per fortnight, 44 weeks per year (8 weeks paid annual leave per year). Starting and finishing times will be by negotiation, but ideally with a start time from 6:00am to 7.30am, including a half hour unpaid meal break. Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience.

This is an active and physical position that requires the successful candidate to maintain the school gardens, grounds and property to a high standard.

Essential Criteria

The ideal applicant will have:

• Car licence

• Valid Working with Children Card (or willingness to obtain)

• Demonstrated capacity to work well in a team and unsupervised

• Fit and able to carry out physically demanding work

• General grounds and gardens maintenance including the operation of small plant machinery including and not limited to, mowers, brush-cutters, blowers, hedger etc.

• Attention to detail

• Similar background work history preferred

• Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school
