Safety Business Partner – Transport & Delivery Sector
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Safety work with a national business during a major growth phase.
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client — a well-established national transport delivery company with a strong focus on innovation, safety and service excellence. They work with a large contractor driver base and are looking for a
Safety Business Partner who can drive positive change, influence culture and partner closely with operations to embed safety at every level.

About the Role This is a hands-on, proactive safety role where you’ll work closely with the Operations team to maintain and improve safety systems, processes and behaviours. You’ll play a key part in coaching leaders, investigating incidents and implementing strategies to keep contractor drivers, clients and staff safe every day.
You’ll also represent the business externally — leading conversations with clients and contractors during onboarding and industry events — so we’re looking for someone confident, professional and people-focused.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to develop risk mitigation strategies and practical safety solutions.
• Support investigations and develop corrective actions that genuinely prevent recurrence.
• Deliver engaging, high-impact safety training.
• Promote safety through tailored communication, building buy-in across all levels.
• Provide safety coaching and leadership to internal stakeholders.
• Represent the company during client onboarding and industry events.
• Stay current with legislation, trends and contractor-related safety risks.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years in a WHS-focused role, ideally within logistics, transport or contractor-heavy environments.
• Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (required).
• ICAM or similar investigation qualification (desired).
• A natural collaborator with strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• Resilient and adaptable, with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Someone who can balance systems thinking with practical, on-the-ground application.
• Experience with vehicle fleets or contractor safety highly regarded.
• Ability to travel interstate (approximately quarterly).
