The Operational Risk Manager will lead efforts to identify, mitigate, and manage risks across their global business. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to build and refine robust controls.

The Role

• Design and implement effective operational controls across trading, finance, and operations.
• Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and prepare compliance evidence for leadership and the Board.
• Oversee third-party and global operational risks, including partnerships in the European operations.
• Support internal and external audits with key documentation on risk control effectiveness.
• Work closely with compliance, trading, IT, and data teams to improve risk systems and data analysis tools.
• Act as a trusted business advisor, fostering a culture of risk awareness and proactive management.
• Provide guidance and development support to 1 direct report, with plans for team expansion.
• Lead and actively participate in Risk Committee board meetings.
• Contribute to high-level decisions and operational strategy through project involvement.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in operational risk management, preferably within the banking or other highly regulated financial services industry. Stockbroking, Financial Markets, FinTech and/or Trading experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RCSAs, control design, AFSL compliance, third-party risk management, and business continuity planning (BCP).
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset to identify emerging trends and assess risk.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
• A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering solutions that meet the needs of customers.
