About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Door Installer / Carpenter / Skilled TA to join our team at Advanced Fire Doors Pty. This is a full-time position based in Burwood, VIC. You will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of fire-rated and smoke doors and associated hardware, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations.

What you'll be doing:

Install and configure fire-rated doors, including fire-rated frames, hardware, and accessories

Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on existing fire doors to ensure they remain compliant

Carry out remedial works and compliance checks in line with AS 1905.1 and NCC requirements.

Maintain detailed records of all installed and serviced fire doors

Ensure work is completed to the highest standard, meeting all safety and quality requirements

What we're looking for:

Minimum 2 years experience in Fire/Smoke Door installation or relevant carpentry

Current Driver's Licence (essential)

Obtain or have a WHITE CARD, WORKING WITH CHILDREN & POLICE CHECK.

Excellent knowledge of fire door installation standards, building codes, and regulations

Proficient in the use of power tools and other equipment required for fire door installation

Ability to work independently and maintain a high standard of workmanship

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality

Effective communication skills
