The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience in door installation, joinery, or architectural woodwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire-rated door systems and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure, fabricate, and install fire-rated doors and frames
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ensure all work complies with Australian fire safety standards
Conduct on-site adjustments, repairs, and finishing work
Work collaboratively with project managers and other trades
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
Use hand/power tools and machinery safely and efficiently

Requirements:

Trade qualification (Carpentry/Joinery) or equivalent experience
Experience in door installation, cabinetry, or architectural woodwork (fire-rated doors a plus)
Strong knowledge of materials, hardware, and fire door regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Own tools and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided for certain roles)
White Card (Construction Induction) and valid driver’s license

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience with fire door compliance (AS 1905.1)

Certification in fire door installation

Previous work with commercial construction projects
