Your Role:

As our Landscape Crew Leader, you will take charge of daily site operations and lead a small crew. This is a full-time, hands-on position: you’ll manage primarily softscape tasks (planting, turfing, mulching) and assist with some hardscape work (paths, edging, etc.). You will ensure safety and quality on every project, mentor your team, and liaise with project managers and clients to deliver excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead On-Site Teams: Supervise and motivate a small landscape crew each day, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to our high standards.

Landscape Construction: Perform and oversee softscape tasks (plants, turf, mulch, irrigation) and assist with hardscape work (paving, edging, retaining walls).

Equipment & Safety: Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment and enforce site safety protocols.

Project Coordination: Plan daily tasks, and coordinate with management and clients to achieve project goals.

Mentoring & Training: Guide crew members by sharing best practices and fostering a positive learning environment.

Quality & Client Relations: Uphold MO&CO’s reputation by ensuring excellent workmanship and maintaining friendly, professional relationships with clients.

What You Bring to the Table

Experience & Passion: At least 2 years of experience in landscaping or horticulture (on projects with plants, turf, irrigation, etc.), plus a genuine passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.

Leadership Potential: Proven ability to lead or mentor a crew, or a strong desire to step into that role. You’re a proactive communicator who motivates others.

Qualifications: Certificate III in Landscape Construction or Horticulture is a plus, though hands-on experience and a willingness to learn are key.

Licenses: Valid driver’s license (comfortable driving a work ute) and construction White Card (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Attitude: Reliable, hardworking and safety focused. You take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, and always look for ways to improve quality.
