A boutique financial planning and accounting firm based in Ivanhoe is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Paraplanner to join its close-knit team. This role supports Financial Planners across all facets of advice delivery and client service, with scope to influence strategy and client outcomes. It is available on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 24 hours per week).

You will be comfortable preparing tailored Statements of Advice and Records of Advice, conducting financial modelling and research and assisting with strategy development for a broad range of clients. Proficiency in Xplan is essential and you will ideally bring experience working across investment, superannuation, insurance and retirement planning advice.

The position also involves supporting advice implementation and contributing to the overall client experience. You will liaise directly with clients, help coordinate administration tasks and play a key role in ensuring compliance standards are consistently met. As the business continues to grow, you will assist with mentoring and overseeing Client Service staff to help maintain service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with Financial Planners to research, model and develop tailored advice strategies

Draft clear, compliant Statements of Advice and Records of Advice

Support the implementation of advice across investment, super, insurance and retirement areas

Assist with client reviews, strategy updates and maintaining advice documentation

Contribute to client communication and a high standard of service delivery

Help manage workflow and support junior Client Service staff

Ensure internal processes align with compliance obligations

About You:

Proven experience in a paraplanning, advice or implementation support role

Strong knowledge of financial planning strategies and regulatory requirements

Proficiency in Xplan and the ability to produce clear, technically accurate SOAs

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Confident communicator, comfortable working with clients and internal teams

Willingness to contribute to team leadership and process improvement

Relevant financial planning qualifications or a commitment to ongoing study
