About the Role:

As a Experienced Family Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and challenging caseload, including complex parenting matters, property settlements, financial agreements, divorce proceedings, and family violence issues. You will work closely with clients, guiding them through sensitive legal matters with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice and representation in all areas of family law

Lead negotiations and appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia

Manage high-value and complex matters with minimal supervision

Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development

Delegate to administrative team members

Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and strategic thinking

Participate in business development initiatives and uphold the firm’s strong reputation

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years PAE (Post Admission Experience) in family law

Current practising certificate in the ACT or ability to obtain one

Strong advocacy skills and experience in litigation and mediation

Proven ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and empathy

High level of organisation, initiative, and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
