This is a full-time position, based on-site at our Head Office & Manufacturing / Warehouse facility in Port Melbourne, located centrally to Melbourne CBD and major freeways.
About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated and reliable Accounts Officer to be responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounting teams with delivery of key objectives and business goals.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
Invoice management - including coding/entering and processing invoices
Prompt processing of payments, and receipts to maintain a fluid cash flow
Managing inboxes and responding in a timely manner as appropriate to the Accounts email
Complete bank reconciliations daily, including deposits allocation, follow up on customer remittance and unknown deposits
Maintain and review customer credit limits with the relevant insurer
Prepare reconciliation of debtors to banking and general ledger
Foster clear communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams to address inquiries and resolve issues and outstanding accounts promptly to maintain service alignment
Enter creditor invoices and pay creditors
Accurately enter data and manage files and accounts including reviewing data to ensure relevancy
Keep comprehensive and organised records, facilitating audits and providing a clear financial trail; including preparation of cash flow information for forecasting, reviewing and issuing customer statements at month-end, and assisting with vendor payment schedule
General administrative tasks
About you
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in managing high volumes with accuracy and efficiency. You enjoy the office environment and being an integral member to a high-preforming team, and are motivated to grow and excel in all you do.
You must have -
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (AR and AP)
Tertiary qualifications in related discipline will be highly regarded however not essential
Demonstrated ability working with tight timeframes and deadlines and experience in fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Meticulous work ethic with high attention to detail
Proficiency in various systems, including Microsoft Excel and Dynamics 365 (preferred)
