About the Opportunity:

Quinn Allan is partnering with a well-regarded, purpose-driven organisation based on the stunning Sunshine Coast to appoint an Interim Head of Commercial Finance. This six-month opportunity offers the chance to lead a high-performing FP&A function while enjoying flexible working arrangements in one of Australia’s most desirable lifestyle destinations.

As Interim Head of Commercial Finance, you will play a critical role in delivering forward-looking insights, business partnering with senior stakeholders, and ensuring robust planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes are in place and functioning effectively during a key period of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the FP&A function, overseeing planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
• Act as a senior business partner to executive stakeholders, providing clear commercial insights.
• Drive improved financial visibility and decision-making across the organisation.
• Manage the budgeting cycle and associated reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
• Identify risks and opportunities through data-led analysis and scenario modelling.
• Support the leadership team with board-level reporting and investment evaluation.

About You:

You are a commercially astute finance leader (CA/CPA qualified or equivalent) with significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles. Ideally, you’ll bring exposure to large, complex environments within the public sector, NFP, education, or similarly structured organisations.

You have a track record of delivering meaningful insight, engaging with senior stakeholders, and leading high-performing finance teams. You are confident navigating ambiguity and take a hands-on yet strategic approach to leadership during times of change.
