Position

Seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join the team for an initial six-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. Reporting to the CFO, this role is pivotal in supporting day-to-day finance operations, enabling the CFO to focus on strategic priorities during this transformative period.

This is a hands-on and broad role, ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to step into a strong 2IC position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support the preparation of board reports, financial analysis, and management presentations.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, including the automation of reporting and potential adoption of business intelligence tools.
• Assist with transactional finance, including payroll processing, accounts payable, and receivables.
• Provide commercial support through management accounting and insightful financial analysis.
• Support the implementation of a new accounting system.
• Contribute to planning for future team expansion, including leadership of junior finance staff.

Profile

• CA or CPA Qualified.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant, with a strong management accounting background.
• 3–5 years of people management experience, with the capability to lead a growing team.
• Industry experience in infrastructure, logistics, or construction is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of subcontractor models and multi-costing environments.
• Hands-on approach with strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Systems-savvy, with experience supporting new ERP implementations and report automation.
• Immediately available to commence.
