If you like to be out and about in the local community in Central Sydney, this is the job for you. With a contract until June 2026 and potentially beyond, who knows where this role could take you?

In this role, you will either hold previous experience as a Parking Officer within Local Government or have very transferable skills.

General duties and responsibilites in this role include:

Carrying out parking patrols as tasked in school zones, clearways, residential parking scheme areas, Council car parks.

Taking appropriate action in accordance with delegations, Legislation, Councils policies, procedures and guidelines whilst on patrol.

Reporting damage to parking signage and other Council assets.

Developing working knowledge of the Acts and Regulations (e.g. Local Government Act, Roads Act, Australian and/or NSW Road Rules).

To be successful in these roles, you should be able to demonstrate the following key skills, knowledge and experience:

Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse community preferably in a regulatory role.

Ability to read and understand, apply and enforce legislation, policies and guidelines.

Well-developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated conflict resolution, consultation, negotiation and customer service skills.

Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to complete forms, maintain records and write investigative reports or similar documents in support of legal prosecutions.

Capacity to work a rotating 7-day roster, including early and late shift rotation in all weather conditions

Class C Driver’s Licence.
