Casual Parking Officer positions on an ongoing basis with a council in the Inner West

Your new company

You will be working at a Council based in Sydney's Inner West. You will be working alongside the council's full-time staff as well as other casual staff employed through Hays.

Your new role

Your main job will be to enforce local parking legislation, patrolling both on foot and in a vehicle by issuing infringements. You will also be educating the general public about parking laws and restrictions. You will also be expected to attend court hearings if required. You will be required to join council for shifts on an ad-hoc basis when any gaps in the roster appear. Some of these will be scheduled in advance, but others may be at short notice.

What you'll need to succeed

• You must have a valid NSW Driving Licence.
  You must double vaccinated against Covid-19
  Customer Service is a vital part of this role, so a good attitude and strong interpersonal skills are a must.
  
• Candidates with hospitality or retail experience are encouraged to apply.
• The successful applicant will need to work well in a team.
• A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure are a must.

What you'll get in return

• You will get ongoing work, subcontracted to the Council and will be paid above the minimum award rate.
  You will work from Monday to Friday every week (37.5 hours). No weekend work is required.
  The contract could be ongoing depending on availability and performance.
