Join Our Team as a Conference Coordinator!

Are you a dynamic individual with a knack for organisation and a love for creating seamless experiences? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the thrill of bringing people together? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

At Think Business Events, we work with our clients to deliver outstanding conferences. Our team is dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and having fun while doing what we love. As a Conference Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of the action, ensuring our conferences run smoothly and leave a lasting impression.

Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll be doing:

Seamless Event Planning: Coordinate every detail to ensure flawless conferences, overseeing the production of conference materials, signage, and promotional items, and creating exciting networking opportunities like social events and interactive sessions.

Speaker & Program: As a Program specialist, you'll be the go-to person for coordinating schedules and presentations with speakers and presenters, and you'll manage the call for papers process along with our conference app and online platforms.

Stakeholder Liaison: You'll keep everyone in the loop by regularly communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders, while also building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

What We’re Looking For:

While our preference is for the role to be based in our Melbourne office, we are open to considering candidates located in Brisbane, Sydney, or Adelaide to work from one of our state offices.

Qualification in Event Management or equivalent relevant experience.

At least three years of experience in the association and/or academic conference industries.

Experience managing and liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors, and venues.

Proficiency in using registration/program software and other applications.

Exceptional customer service, administration, and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed.

If you have any questions regarding this role, please contact Angelika Rosen, Operations & Human Resource Manager [email protected]. Applicants are assessed immediately, so you are encouraged to apply now.
