About the Role
This permanent position within FRV’s Workplace Relations team, is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on employee and industrial relations matters. As the Workplace Relations Consultant you will work with a broad range of stakeholders across FRV and externally.
Functional Accountabilities include:
Provide accurate technical advice on all aspects of workplace relations at FRV, including interpretation and application of the multiple enterprise agreements applying at FRV, Federal and State legislation and internal policy, guidelines and protocols
Provide support to the Principal Workplace Relations Consultants, Senior Manager Workplace Relations and Director Workplace Relations & Ethical Standards with management of complex grievances and other matters
Case management on a variety of matters, including coaching and guiding leaders and staff across FRV on the effective resolution of grievances or other issues, aimed at supporting local resolution
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders across FRV as well as externally, including relevant Unions/ Associations to assist with the delivery of workplace relations and/or organisational outcomes
Provide support to the Senior Leaders and those leading Enterprise Bargaining activities, from preparation to commence bargaining, negotiation and approval and implementation processes.
What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Tertiary Qualifications in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Labour Law and / or behavioural sciences or proven experience undertaking a similar role
Membership of relevant professional associations (desirable)
Practical experience in interpreting instruments and resolving disputes, ideally in a complex industrial environment
Experience in supporting enterprise agreement negotiations, industrial advocacy and current knowledge of employment law
Practical experience in monitoring, analysing and evaluating industrial / workplace issues, trends and Government directive
Advocacy and negotiation skills and highly developed oral and written communication skills.

FRV’s standard practice is to appoint at the base of the salary range, however consideration will be given to an above base salary within the advertised range based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience
