We are seeking a Claims and Injury Management Officer to join our team, reporting into the Injury Management Lead and assist with the development, co-ordination and implementation of the claims and injury management services across St John WA.

This is a permanent full time role base in Belmont working in the friendly, collaborative and supportive Wellbeing, Safety and Injury Management team.

What you’ll do:

  • Establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide and maintain the injury management database which includes processing all new claims and related information, data and activities
  • Contribute to the development and administration of workers’ compensation, personal accident and injury management policies and procedures
  • Management of exposure/fast-track claims
  • Support and advise other departments on queries regarding claims and injury management processes, or pass on to appropriate team member if required
  • Prepare statistical reports on claims and analysis of claims data

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in claims management or similar
  • Knowledge of the workers’ compensation system and injury management
  • Excellent time management skills – and ability to prioritise workload and work efficiently to deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent team player, will jump in and assist the team when required/requested
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software – Word, Excel are essential, Visio would be highly desirable, as would experience with some database or claim management software, but not essential.
