About the Role:

As our chef, you will play a vital role in nurturing a love for wholesome food and fostering meaningful connections with our children and families. This is more than just a kitchen role—it is an opportunity to be part of the children’s learning journey by:

Preparing fresh, seasonal, and nutritious meals inspired by a food-to-table philosophy.

Building connections with children, inviting them to explore, assist, and learn about cooking and healthy eating.

Spending time with the children in the garden, sharing your love for fresh produce and where food comes from.

Being a warm, positive presence in our community, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the kitchen and beyond.

Providing food offering to families.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Has knowledge about developing a vegetable and herb garden, knows about harvesting fresh ingredients, and sharing this experience with children.

Has a passion for preparing home-cooked, nourishing meals from scratch.

Values the role of nutrition in supporting children’s growth, learning, and wellbeing.

Enjoys interacting with children, teaching them about food, healthy choices, and cooking.

Manages time effectively to meet daily kitchen schedules and service times.

Multitask efficiently to manage cooking, cleaning, ordering, and documentation duties.

Certificate in Food handling or equivalent (mandatory)

Warm and caring nature with a passion for children and providing comfort through food.

Is enthusiastic, creative, and committed to working as part of a team.

Details:

Shift Time: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Booker Bay
