About the Role
TAFE SA is seeking an experienced and qualified professional in the area of Disability Services or Aged Care, including Nursing and Allied Health to deliver high-quality training and assessment. This appointment will initially be a backfill contract with possibility for ongoing appointment to be reviewed and considered prior to end date. Further to the Lecturer position available there is also opportunity to be considered for our Hourly Paid Instructor (HPI) register for candidates who meet the requirements and are interested.
Lecturers at TAFE SA provide a quality educational service of training, assessment and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. Lecturers may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Addressed the selection criteria in the Lecturer role descriptor, in relation to your experience in working in the aged care and/or the disability sector, and/or as an educator in this sector.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or Diploma/higher level qualification in adult education; Or be willing to obtain the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in the first twelve months of employment.
- Experience as a qualified professional within his/her area of expertise, in one or more of the following:
- Disability Services
- Aged care - residential and/or home care services
- Nursing and Allied Health

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
- This role is site specific. Applicants must be willing to live, relocate or commute to Berri/Riverland district
- There may be a requirement to be relocated, travel to and work from other campuses within the agency on a needs basis
- Some out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential
- Active participation in TAFE SA Performance and Development Program
- Eligible to work in Australia
