Our range is comprehensive producing bread (including sourdough), pastry, laminated doughs, pies, meals and our dairy division includes farm direct milk processing with gelato and yoghurt to complete the range.

As the Bakery Shift Manager at Dejaxo, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our busy bakery production facility. This full-time position is located in Malaga, WA 6090 and offers the opportunity to lead and develop a talented team of bakers and pastry staff.

This is an evening position working 2pm-10pm Wednesday to Sunday as a hands on manager working along side the team

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery production facility, ensuring efficient workflow and high product quality

Oversee the work of bakers and pastry staff, providing direction, training and performance feedback

Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to maintain continuous production

Implement and enforce safety and hygiene standards to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Liaise with the production manager to identify process improvements and implement operational efficiencies

Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to motivate staff and drive productivity

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a shift manager or team leader in a fast-paced food production environment

Strong knowledge of bakery operations, product quality, and production processes

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Proficiency in inventory management and cost control

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions

A commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards
