Sanzone Retail Group, a family-owned chain of BP petrol stations established in 1977, is looking for dedicated Kitchen Managers for our 24/7 sites.
As an integral part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and enjoy freshly made, on-site food items. Your ability to lead by example, motivate your team, and uphold our high standards will be key to your success.
We’re offering a rare opportunity for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead the morning shift in our high-volume cafe—from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday to Friday and a PM Kitchen Manager to run the floor from 12pm-8pm - Monday to Friday. You’ll take full ownership of our AM & PM production, managing our customer service teams to ensure every day runs with precision and excellence.
At BP Balcatta we operate a near round-the-clock kitchen focused on fresh, beautifully presented food delivered with precision and pride. Now, we need a proven leader to take the reins of our early morning crew.
Who This Role is Perfect For
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early hours, or afternoon shift and takes pride in structured, high-output environments, and knows how to get the best from their team. You might be:
✅ An experienced Kitchen or Production Manager from a high-volume food environment (catering, airline, meal prep, central kitchen).
✅ A high-performing Head or Sous Chef tired of late nights and chaos, looking for more structure, leadership, and ownership.
✅ A shift supervisor or team lead from food manufacturing, bakery, or catering operations ready to step up and lead a critical shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading each shift you will be, setting the tone with clarity and focus.
Coaching and developing team members—building accountability, clarity, and confidence.
Ensuring the shift runs efficiently - tight workflows, minimal waste, and on-time handovers.
Driving consistency in quality and presentation across all products.
Analysis of sales, production and waste data and Adjustment of holdings
Stock control – write offs, ordering and stocktakes.
Enforcing food safety, hygiene, and team safety standards at the highest level.
Collaborating with the alternate Kitchen Manager, Site Manager and Operations Manager to continually improve systems.

You’re sharp on food standards and care deeply about the final product.
You know how to manage people and processes—and get the best out of both.
You bring energy and structure to your team—even at 4 a.m.
You're organised, solutions-focused, and always looking to improve the system, not just patch it.
You are a permanent Australian Resident or Citizen - this is a long-term position.
✅ Bonus Points If You Have:
A background in retail kitchens.
Strong rostering and scheduling skills.
Previous wastage control/stocktaking experience.
