The Position
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Service Co-Ordinator/ Educational Leader to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Service Management team and Nominated Supervisor to help lead that day-to-day operations and educational programming of the service. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate educator looking to grow in leadership while making a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support in administrative and operational functions of the service.
Lead the development, planning, and implementation of a dynamic and effective educational program.
Supervise, support, and guide staff in their roles and responsibilities.
Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of all children in your care.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with families, staff and the wider school community.
Act as the Responsible Person and manage service operations in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.
Promptly communicate any operational or staffing issues to the Nominated Supervisor

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of leadership, experience, and a strong commitment to the values of NWCC. You will also demonstrate:
A Certificate or Diploma in School Aged Education and Care (or willingness to obtain)
Experience assisting in the management of an OSHC service
Educational Leader experience (desirable)
1-2 Years experience as a Responsible Person
You will be able to demonstrate sound, supervision and management of staff
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and ‘My Time, Our Place’
Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
A Valid Working with Children Check
Food Safety Supervisor's certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
A strong alignment with the philosophy and values of Northwest Community Childcare
