Educational Leader - 38 hours per week minimum. (Monday - Friday)

Very flexible hours, and great balance with your studies and life.

Above award rate pay.

What do you need?

Paid working with children check is essential

First aid/CPR in an education and care setting is essential

Motivated and passionate about working with children

Positive attitude and the ability to be able to work in a team

Ability to be flexible and hard-working

Educational leader - Preferred Diploma or equivalent in childcare/education.'

Minimum 2+ years' experience in the Educational Leader Role

Familiar with My Time My Place / NQF / QIP / Assessment & Rating

About the job

Permanent/part-time hours for before school, after school and vacation care

Collaborate with educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance

Programming vacation care as well as before and after school care

Support educators to effectively implement the cycle of planning to enhance programs and practices

Lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service

Bring your own skills and interests to our team to add to our program (creative artists, musicians, sports-people, cooking enthusiasts, story-tellers, clubs, etc)

Some roles of the educational leader include:

promoting understanding of the approved learning framework

keeping up to date with current research/resources and sharing these

exploring opportunities for professional development

helping educators to understand and implement policies and procedures

encouraging educators to reflect on their practice

discussing ways to demonstrate the service is meeting the standards.

Experience in child care (OOSH) is essential.

Experience in XAP childcare software is a bonus, but not essential

A hands on educator who is enthusiastic about participating in activities with the children and staff

You are passionate about providing an educational inclusive program

Ability to work in a team environment

You are confident to work independently, can be self-driven when necessary and show initiative
