We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director (2IC) / Educational Leader to join our centre in Strathfield! This is a 12-month maternity leave cover with the potential for extension or a permanent role, depending on future opportunities.

About the role:

• Provide guidance and direction to educators through collaboration
• Offer support to educators to effectively implement the planning cycle to enhance practices and programs
• Lead, develop and implement effective and valuable educational programs within the service
• Ensure all learning is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework
• Encourage and demonstrate appropriate and respectful communication and behaviours within the service

About you:

• Must hold a minimum of Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care (mandatory) and/or working towards a Teaching Degree (ECT - desirable but not mandatory)
• Experience in a similar role advantageous
• Current Working with Children Check
• Outstanding level of verbal and written communication
• Strong Knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Strong computer skills
• Current approved First Aid Certificate
• Current approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
