As Director of Business Operations, you'll lead key operational areas including HR, Risk and Compliance, IT, Finance and OH&S, ensuring systems and resources align with the College’s mission and long-term vision. Working closely with the Principal and Board as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, you will provide high-level advice, enhance organisational effectiveness, and foster a positive culture across all campuses. Your leadership will shape sustainable growth and operational excellence, contributing to a school community where students and staff can thrive.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Champion a proactive approach to occupational health and safety, embedding safe systems of work and a culture of wellbeing across the College

Provide strategic financial leadership, including budget planning, reporting, forecasting, and capital project oversight

Manage end-to-end HR functions, including workforce planning, employee relations and policy development

Represent the College with integrity and professionalism in all interactions, including community engagement, stakeholder relationships, and public forums

What you bring to the role:

Tertiary qualification in HR, Risk and Compliance, Business Management, Law, or a related field

Senior leadership experience across business operations, HR, risk management or school leadership

A collaborative, people-first leadership style that builds trust and inspires high-performing teams

Strong knowledge of risk, compliance, and industrial relations frameworks

Insight into the education or not-for-profit sector is highly regarded

A genuine connection to the purpose of education, and the impact that effective operations can make

Shape the Future and Lead Success with:

The opportunity to shape and grow the next phase of a values-based independent school

A collaborative executive team united by a common purpose and a deep sense of community
