The Company:

Mars have partnered with an ASX listed company that is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their growth business initially on a contract basis.

As Finance Manager, you'll be directly responsible for the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial reports, with a particular focus on ASX compliance, external reporting and statutory accounts.

The successful candidate will be technically strong, with a proven track record of being hands on with the team to ensure the group meets all financial reporting obligations.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the responsibilities will not be limited to the following:

• Prepare half-year and full-year statutory financial reports in compliance with ASX requirements
• Lead the preparation of the annual report and investor-related financial disclosures
• Manage end-to-end month-end close processes including reconciliations, journals, and consolidations
• Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards
• Partner with auditors to manage the external audit process and resolve technical accounting issues
• Ensure all accounting policies and controls are up to date and implemented effectively
• Support technical accounting papers, board papers, and audit committee reporting
• Contribute to continuous process improvement in financial reporting systems and workflows

The Requirements:

• CA/CPA qualified, ideally starting your career in Big 4 or mid-tier audit
• 5-8+ years of experience, including a strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting
• Solid exposure to ASX-listed reporting requirements (essential)
• Strong understanding of AASB and complex consolidations
• Meticulous attention to detail with a hands-on approach and accountability mindset
• Advanced Excel Skills and proficiency in ERP systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in preparing technical documentation
