We're seeking to expand our team of Community Transport Officers to work primarily in our patient transport operations across metropolitan Perth. The role is on a casual basis however full-time positions will be available for those that demonstrate alignment with our values and contribute positively to our culture.

About the role

Medical Edge Australia is recruiting Community Transport Officers holding a minimum of a HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent qualifications for routine patient transport operations in metropolitan Perth.

The Community Transport Officer provides low acuity transport for a range of patients with various needs to medical appointments and home again. The Community Transport Officer must have an understanding of clinical guidelines, licensing requirements and Medical Edge Australia policies and procedures.

Skills and experience

Medical Edge is committed to providing a safe workplace, applicants must have a strong safety focus and be able to complete ongoing dynamic risk assessments during their daily duties. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer focus. Applicants must be passionate about first aid and patient care, deliver consistently high standards of customer service to our clients and closely align with Medical Edge Australia's vision, mission and values.

For consideration, applicants must have a HLTAID011 or equivalent.

Applicants holding Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Transport, Certificate IV in Healthcare, Diploma of Nursing (EN), and Diploma of Paramedic Science are also encouraged to apply.

Valid Employment Working with Vulnerable Person's Check

Police Check obtained within six months of applying that states the purpose of Patient Transport

Proof of full immunisation history required for NEPT work including (but not limited to) Covid-19, current flu vaccine and Hep B
