Casual Community Transport Drivers – Aged and Community Transport

Valmar Support Services is a Not for Profit Organisation who thrives to provide high quality support services to people with disabilities, aged care services, community transport and supported employment.

Vacancies exist for motivated Casual Community Transport Drivers with Valmar’s Aged and Community Transport Services in Lockhart / Urana and surrounding areas.

Community Transport Drivers will be responsible for providing and/or planning community transport services involving computer bookings and/or collecting service users (clients) for planned transport.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

Experience with and ability to work with clients of frail aged and people with disabilities.

Have an ability to communicate positively with a diverse range of people and personalities.

Possess well developed administrative skills.

Have previous experience with or the ability to learn computer based booking systems quickly.

Be flexible and adaptable to change.

Have a commitment to enhance the life options of the frail aged and people with a disability.

Possess a current drivers licence and possess or willing to attain a first aid certificate.

Willing to undertake a Criminal Record Check and Fitness to Drive Assessment.

Successful applicants must be willing to undertake a Criminal Record Check & a Fitness to Drive Assessment and hold an Australian Drivers Licence. It is desirable that you have a current First Aid Certificate and hold or willing to undertake training towards a Certificate III or IV in Community Services.
