We're seeking to expand our team of Patient Transport Officers to work primarily in our patient transport operations across metropolitan Perth.

About the role

Medical Edge Australia is recruiting Patient Transport Officers holding a minimum of a Certificate III Non-Emergency Patient Transport or equivalent qualifications for routine patient transport operations in metropolitan Perth.

The Patient Transport Officer (PTO) routinely works with Registered Paramedics, other PTO's and Ambulance Drivers to provide low and medium acuity transport for a range of patients with various needs. The PTO must have a sound understanding of clinical guidelines, licensing requirements and Medical Edge Australia policies and procedures.

The role is remunerated generously with super included on top of the hourly rate as well as any applicable penalties or allowances under the Award. The role is on a casual basis however full-time positions may be available for those that demonstrate alignment with our values and contribute positively to our culture.

Skills and experience

For consideration, applicants must have a certificate III in non-emergency patient transport or equivalent. Applicants holding the Certificate IV in Healthcare and Diploma of Paramedic Science are also encouraged to apply.

Proof of full immunisation history required for NEPT work including (but not limited to) Covid-19, current flu vaccine and Hep B.
