We are seeking Female Disability Support Workers to provide individual and group support to our female clients. About The Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. We are looking for dynamic and creative people to assist with facilitating groups that are outgoing and enthusiastic about supporting people with disabilities.

You will provide personalised support tailored to each client's needs, helping them achieve their goals and participate fully in their community.

You are compassionate and empathetic to the needs of others.

You aspire to build the capacity of our participants and allow for positive impacts on the overall quality of life.

You are personable, understanding, and compassionate towards people with disabilities.

You are capable of building rapport and trust with people overall.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality support to assist participants in making decisions, being actively involved in their support plans, and meeting their NDIS goals.

Support participants with transportation to appointments, social activities, and community events.

Provide participants with the opportunity to exercise choice and control by engaging in supported decision-making, developing their independent living skills.

Facilitate community participation and social inclusion.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of participant progress and activities.

Implement behavioural support strategies when needed.

Undertake routine administration tasks such as completing a timesheet, incident report and other documentation as required.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential – Must have to succeed in this role

Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check or equivalent.

NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Can work at minimum 10 to 15 hours per week.

Can work at minimum Tuesday to Friday.

Female or female identifying.

Can work independently and as part of a team.

Can exercise good interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable – Not essential, would help you succeed in this role

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent.

Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience working with various needs and behavioural support.

Knowledge of the NDIS framework.

Manual handling and infection control training.

Experience in disability support.
