About the Role:
Reporting to the NSW Plant Manager, the Afternoon Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations at the Smeaton Grange site during the afternoon shift. You will lead a team of production personnel, ensuring targets are met, quality is maintained, and safety standards are upheld. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong coordination, communication, and continuous improvement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the afternoon shift and lead a team of production operators;
- Ensure daily production plans are met safely, efficiently, and on time;
- Liaise with Maintenance, Quality, and Dispatch to ensure operational flow;
- Train and mentor team members, ensuring all safety procedures are followed;
- Monitor downtime, product quality, and production costs;
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and environmental standards; and
- Complete accurate shift reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing;
- Strong understanding of WHS, quality, and production systems, ERP;
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills; and
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
