About the opportunity
Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Business, Law and Arts is seeking a Lecturer in Business (Accounting). This is a great opportunity to shape the learning experience of students enrolled in accounting programs accredited by CPA Australia, CAANZ, and TPB Australia. You’ll join an experienced academic team committed to delivering relevant, high-quality business education.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality and engaging teaching in accounting and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Developing and maintaining innovative curriculum and learning resources aligned with industry needs.
- Contributing to the research and scholarship profile of the Faculty through peer-reviewed publications and research activities.
- Participating in community and professional engagement that enhances the reputation and priorities of the University.
- Providing mentoring and support to students, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
About you
You are an enthusiastic academic ready to make your mark in accounting and business education. You are keen to join a well-established team who will support your teaching, research and career development. More specifically, you will have:
- A PhD in Accounting or a closely related area.
- A developing research track record with outputs aligned to your academic level.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching in Accounting.
- Experience using educational technology in blended and online learning environments.
Salary and benefits
Our staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer’s leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. This position is:
- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at Gold Coast, QLD 4225. Generous relocation support available.
- Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $110,611 - $130,814 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $153,052.
