About the role
The Supervisor Accounts Payable role will provide supervision, development and facilitation to the facilities, activities and resources contributing to competitive best practice accounts payable services to customers.
You will lead and supervise the Accounts Payable team to ensure high productivity and performance to ensure accuracy of processes and procedures to maintain compliance with payable data.
Duties for the role will include (but not limited to)
Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable team to ensure high productivity and performance in all account’s services
Develop the accounts payable team focusing on skills, capacity and staff performance and implement techniques in selecting, supervising, organising and motivating staff to achieve set business processes and policies
Provide expertise/ advice by verifying accounts payable data, including vendor master data, invoices, and payment transactions to meet legislative and regulatory compliance
Conduct and ensure business transactions are completed ethically, efficiently, and professionally to meet agreed levels of service
Contribute to the delivery of a professional and contemporary advisory/consultancy service to client departments on Accounts Payable business rules, processes, and procedures..
We’re looking for people who have:
Conduct business transactions ethically, efficiently, and professionally
Verify accounts payable data, including vendor master data, invoices, and payment transactions
Identify and resolve gaps in staff competencies related to business processes and policies
Provide consultancy on Accounts Payable business rules, processes, and procedures
Promote and support Accounts Payable services, ensuring compliance with city policies, business rules, and legislation
Focus on business improvement initiatives for various accounts payable functions, including payment processing, vendor data maintenance, corporate purchase cards, and customer queries
Motivate and direct the team to achieve best practices in procure to pay processes.
