Our client is developing world class, logistics infrastructure precincts across the eastern states of Australia.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy General Counsel to provide quality legal advice to the business across the full range of the project. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of property, planning, environmental, construction and joint venture matters.

Key accountabilities include:

  • advising on property documentation, including easement instruments, subdivision plans, agreements for lease, leases and licences;
  • reviewing and advising on the terms of development contracts, infrastructure agreements and project delivery agreements from a property perspective;
  • all aspects of environment and planning, including advising on environmental compliance, planning controls, policies, and development contributions;
  • negotiating complex industrial and development leases including structured finance and joint venture arrangements;
  • prepare briefings to stakeholders including the Commonwealth in relation to the review and approval of easements and other property rights; and
  • maintain an awareness of and ability to procure and effectively apply specialist legal advice in relation to areas of law incidental to property and projects law such as WHS, environmental and planning, regulatory and competition.

We are seeking candidates with:

  • experience in a leading real estate or large property team.
  • an in-house background with a major infrastructure project or property developer legal team with exposure to property, planning and environment matters (including secondment experience); and
  • 3 to 5 years PAE.

There will be plenty of opportunity to engage with, influence, and build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. The team works a hybrid role, central CBD and WFH. Other benefits include 18 weeks paid parental leave.
