The Role
This position is primarily focused on winning school contracts, particularly private schools. The successful candidate will also support business development in other areas such as corporate charters, event transport, and tourism services.
We are especially interested in candidates who possess strong networks within the education sector, as this will be key to establishing trust and opening doors quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and secure new school run contracts (especially with private or independent schools)
Leverage existing education sector networks to build strategic partnerships
Build strong relationships with school administrators, principals, and business managers
Explore other commercial charter opportunities (corporate, events, tourism, etc.)
Prepare customised proposals, assist with pricing and negotiations
Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and funding opportunities
About You
Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management
Established connections within the education sector (e.g. school leadership, education groups, associations)
A confident and professional communicator
Highly self-motivated, proactive, and goal-driven
Strong organisational and presentation skills
Understanding of the Melbourne school landscape or transport industry is an advantage
Valid driver’s licence preferred
