In this pivotal role, you’ll use your deep expertise in injury management, workers compensation legislation, and return-to-work strategies to coordinate complex claims and support NSWHP staff through their recovery process. You will be the trusted advisor and key liaison between injured workers, internal stakeholders, insurers, and treatment providers—ensuring a compassionate, compliant, and cost-effective approach every step of the way.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic statewide team that values collaboration, expert guidance, and proactive solutions. Your ability to analyse medical and legal documentation, drive strategic claims outcomes, and communicate with influence will be critical to your success. If you're looking for a role where your professional knowledge and interpersonal strengths directly support the wellbeing of healthcare workers and the sustainability of our services, we want to hear from you.

What we can offer you

  • Accrued Days Off in addition to Annual Leave
  • Generous salary packaging options and other fringe benefits
  • Corporate wellbeing programs, including the Fitness Passport
  • Learning and development opportunities, including in-house training with RTO My Health Learning

What you'll be doing

The Recover at Work Coordinator is responsible for delivering all aspects of workplace rehabilitation, claims management and Recover at Work services across NSWHP. The role is key to orchestrating the necessary consultation, advice and support, based on regulatory, legislative and local policy requirements, to NSWHP employees who are injured due to workplace injuries resulting in workers compensation claims and non-work related injuries/illness.

  5. Demonstrated ability to analyse and problem solve complex Workers Compensation matters. Proven experience in human-centred case management, strategic planning, program development, high level advice and implementation of rehabilitation plans with the aim of risk mitigation.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence others in the pursuit of desired outcome.
  7. Current unencumbered Class C drivers license with the ability to drive for work purposes, including occasional overnight stays.
