About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team at the Kelso Hotel in Bathurst, NSW. As our Chef, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and delivery of high-quality food.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the daily operation of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, quality control, staff rostering and stock management.

Ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests

Sourcing and utilising fresh, local ingredients to create inventive, seasonal menus

Monitoring food costs and inventory to maximise profitability

Maintaining a safe, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment

Liaising with the hotel management team to provide excellent customer service

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Chef in a high volume, fast paced hospitality environment.

An understanding of food preparation, menu design and kitchen operations.

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Excellent time management and problem-solving skills

Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations

Creativity and a commitment to using fresh, seasonal ingredients
