Part Time Practice Nurse

North Geelong Medical Clinic is looking for a vibrant and committed Registered Nurse to join our nursing team. We are a private general practice with a strong commitment to community health and wellbeing. The role is 2-3 days per week, with the possibility of increasing hours in the future. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with no evenings, weekends, or public holidays. As part of this team, you will be integral to the running of a busy treatment room. Our GPs have a diverse range of skills which assists us in catering to client needs and we welcome a similar skill set in our nursing staff. Care delivery includes [but not limited to]:

Acute and chronic wound management

Child and adult immunisations

Chronic Disease Management and care planning

Minor procedures

Preventative health strategies

Spirometry

Candidate attributes:

Registered Nurse with general practice experience

Current AHPRA registration

Flexibility with availability

Desirable attributes:

Experience in childhood vaccinations and the National Immunisation Program

Familiarity with the accreditation standards for General Practice [RACGP standards]

Experience in Chronic Disease Care planning

Commitment to community health and preventative health strategies

Experience with Best Practice Software

Experience in Aged Care settings

Commitment to Quality Improvement
