Our Client
A large Queensland Government organisation is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager. This team delivers major ICT initiatives across schools and administration, with a strong focus on innovation, security, and user-centric platforms.

The Role
This is a high-impact role in a flexible delivery environment where project managers may contribute across multiple IT initiatives based on priority.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams to deliver agreed outcomes on time and within scope
• Develop project artefacts including plans, schedules, stakeholder engagement strategies, and governance documentation
• Manage end-to-end project activities, from scoping to deployment
• Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across all levels
• Oversee transition activities to ensure seamless handover to business-as-usual operations

About you:

• Proven experience delivering complex ICT projects using PRINCE2 and Hybrid Waterfall/Agile methodologies, with a focus on governance and user-centric outcomes.
• Skilled in managing project schedules using Microsoft Project and Enterprise Portfolio Online, ensuring robust governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated leadership in coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholder engagement in high-stakes or political environments.
• Expertise in delivering cloud-based SaaS applications integrated with enterprise systems, ensuring smooth service delivery.
• Proficient in coaching Agile practices to both business and technical stakeholders, maintaining governance over Agile artefacts.
• Knowledge of ICT-enabled business change, particularly in public sector environments, with an emphasis on education-related projects.
