Project Manager - Defence Digital Design Program
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Duration: July 2025 - June 2026 (with potential for extension)
Security Clearance: NV1 min mandatory

The Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the Digital Design Modelling Program as part of Army's digital integration efforts. This role will support the Army's transition to an Integrated Force by managing the development of the Land Combat System Digital Design (LCS DD) and maintaining critical integration standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the LNIC Design Modelling Program: Oversee project planning, progress reporting, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the program, including Army, APS, and contractor teams.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain modelling standards, oversee compliance, and drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance Army's operational capabilities.
  • Reporting: Provide written reports and presentations to senior leadership on project status, risks, and improvements.
  • Manage Resources: Monitor the program's resource and budget reporting and ensure all tasks are completed within time and cost constraints.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate efforts between different teams involved in digital systems and integration.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Required: At least 8 years of project management experience, ideally in ICT or Defence, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Qualifications: A recognised project management qualification (e.g., AIPM, PRINCE2) or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of engagement.
  • Desirable: Experience in Defence digital systems, systems engineering, and managing multi-disciplinary teams. Familiarity with Defence project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, MSP, AGILE).
Additional Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the Defence project environment, ICT infrastructure, and integration processes
