We are looking for experienced Fulltime chef to join our restaurant team at Lorne.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Design new menus with the restaurant manager, manage all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking and clean up
· Manage, motivate, lead and develop the Kitchen team
· Maintain a high standard of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness in accordance with company standards
· Inspect food items to guarantee the highest quality products are prepared and served to customers
· Manage staff costs, supply cost to budget
· Manage and maintain ordering of stock and produce
· Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen
· Collaborate with management to align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the company
Job Requirements and necessary experience
· Qualified Chef or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience
· Australian qualification of Certificates III and IV in Commercial Cookery
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with restaurant staff and management
· Detailed knowledge of health and safety standards
