About the role

Air-Rite Mechanical Services, a leading provider of Commercial HVAC Install and services, is seeking an Accountant to join our dynamic team based in Hemmant, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and reporting for our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

Performing general accounting duties such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations

Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses

Providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar financial accounting role, preferably within the HVAC or construction industry

Proficient in the use of accounting software such as Xero

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate financial information effectively

Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
