About the role
Our Pathology Collections Team in Perth is seeking expressions of interest for two Part-Time Roster Coordinator's to join our crew of everyday healthcare heroes.
This is your chance to step into a fast-paced, behind-the-scenes role where no two days are the same. You’ll help manage the master roster, plan staffing coverage, and respond to the daily challenge of unplanned leave and sick calls.
The best part? We’re flexible! We’re looking for someone who is available to work early mornings or late afternoons/evenings—ideal for those who enjoy variety and flexibility and prefer to work from home.
And let’s be real—we need someone with a sharp mind. This isn’t just data entry. It’s about using your smarts to solve daily puzzles, juggle priorities, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
· Owning and updating the master roster for our Collections Team—yes, you’re the one who knows where everyone’s meant to be!
· Planning daily staffing to ensure our collection centres are fully covered.
· Managing planned leave (and gently reminding people to submit it in advance).
· Handling unplanned leave and sick calls—calm under pressure is your thing.
· Communicating clearly and quickly with staff and supervisors to fill gaps.
· Supporting operational decision-making with smart, efficient rostering.
· Helping out with reports and spotting staffing trends before they become problems.
What You Bring:
· Experience in rostering, scheduling, or coordination (healthcare experience = bonus points!).
· A cool head and quick thinking when plans change (which they often will!).
· Excellent communication skills—you can pick up the phone and get things sorted.
· Super-organised with strong attention to detail and a love for logistics.
· Comfortable using scheduling systems or digital rostering tools.
· Experience with the Deputy rostering system is highly desirable.
· A collaborative, positive attitude—you’re a team player who gets things done.
Why Join Us?

Here’s what you can look forward to when you join the team:
