About the Role

We are recruiting a part-time Rostering Officer to be based at our Head Office in Noble Park. You will be working as part of a small team led by a Workforce Planning Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that planned and published rosters are continuously managed to guarantee all shift requirements are fulfilled on a daily basis. This includes arranging shift replacements for vacancies as they occur and activating additional shifts as required.

The position involves working in a close-knit and supportive environment in an industry which is growing rapidly and is facing constant change.

Responsibilities:

Work with the rostering team to ensure that all NPT roster requirements are appropriately resourced;

Create and fill shifts in the roster that are necessitated by short term operational needs;

Ensure that all shifts are filled with appropriately qualified and accredited staff in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies;

Ensure that all shift allocations are compliant with industrial agreements and awards applicable to the engagement of staff;

Prepare and circulate daily shift line-ups including the allocations of fleet resources to all internal and external departments requiring the information;

Report staff attendance issues when they arise, in particular repeated absenteeism, lateness and patterns of unproductive or disruptive behaviour; and

Contribute to the delivery of a responsive, fair and equitable roster that balances the needs of the business and employees.

Required skills & attributes:

Relevant experience in rostering/scheduling using UKG and/or TimeTarget required;

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure;

Excellent attention to detail and able to work to specified daily deadlines;

Understanding of rostering principles, policies and procedures;

Skilled in the use of computer systems for rostering and reporting including the MS Office suite;

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in respect of personal staff information;

Commitment to operational efficiency and the ability to deal with issues as they arise;

Ability to work flexible hours to provide roster coverage for day, afternoon and evening shifts.
