We’re a locally owned business with a strong reputation and a loyal customer base, looking for a reliable all-rounder who’s mechanically minded, customer-focused, and ready to take on a team management position in our shop.

About the Role

You’ll be involved in:

Managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth business functions, and maintaining a productive and positive work environment

Contributing to decision-making on staffing, processes, and operational improvements

Assuming a high level of responsibility and actively participating in business improvement initiatives

Manage, oversee and co-ordinate repairs, services, and tyre changes on electric scooters and other electric products

Enter data accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures

Provide advise on servicing and repairs to customers

Manage the end-to-end process for warranties and follow warranty procedures for various manufacturers

Delivering excellent retail and online customer service

Handling POS transactions and front-of-house sales

Ordering and receiving stock, maintaining inventory records

Merchandising, general store upkeep, and cleanliness

Supporting junior staff and helping manage workflow

About You

We're looking for someone who brings energy, initiative, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate:

Must be at least 18 years of age

A valid Australian Driver’s Licence

Some experience as a mechanic in the automotive, transportation, or bike industry (highly preferred)

Ability to lift up to 30kg frequently

Ability to operate mobile devices and follow app-based workflows (iOS experience preferred)

Confidence reading instructions, following procedures, and communicating clearly

Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate a small team

Experience with managing workflow, troubleshooting issues, and addressing customer concerns effectively

Strong organisational abilities to help keep the business running smoothly and efficiently

Ability to make decisions on day-to-day business operations, such as scheduling and customer management

Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Australian residency (please note: overseas applicants will not be considered)

Skills and Experience

Minimum of 12 months experience in a technical, repair, or trade role is preferred

Basic IT and computer literacy skills

Ability to work towards deadlines and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Understanding of inventory management

Retail or service industry background

Mechanically minded and hands-on

Confident in customer communication (verbal and electronic)

Strong organisational skills and time management

Initiative and problem-solving ability

Experience with inventory systems and POS software

Experience managing or overseeing staff, including training, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment

Financial acumen to handle invoicing, budgeting, and resource allocation
