About Us:
Aged Care Advisory Service provides experienced, knowledgeable and skilled management and clinical consulting staff to support residential aged care homes across the nation. We partner with providers for success to gain immediate and ongoing results to provide sustainable outcomes for our clients.
We currently have a need for experienced Advisors/Clinical Care Consultants to join our team. The role is to provide management and clinical leadership, mentoring and “hands on” support to our client's clinical team. The chosen candidates will have recent experience within the residential aged care sector, leadership skills and a current registration with AHPRA.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide hands on coaching and leadership to RN's and Care Staff.
Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for Residents - including case conferencing with families and significant others.
Evaluate residents' comments, complaints and clinical incidents.
Assess and implement strategies to mitigate risk to residents, particularly around IPC.
Formulate and implement strategies in partnership with the Quality Manager to meet and exceed regulatory requirements, in line with the Strengthened Age Care Standards.
Oversee Medication Management in accordance with Resident needs and legislative requirements.
Ensure appropriate wound management is in place for all residents including engaging specialists internally and externally as required.
Coach RN staff to provide monthly care statements and communicate effectively with Residents and Representatives.
Evaluate any clinical risk to residents, and direct consultations with Medical and Allied health as required.
Recommend and implement required education to staff.
Individual Requirements:
Current registration with AHPRA
Experience within aged care clinical management.
Outstanding clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities.
Extensive working knowledge of the current Aged Care Quality Standards
Advanced leadership skills
Proven experience within clinical governance and managerial oversight
Proven understanding of Best Practice Infection Control and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment
Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive and dynamic approach
Police Record Check or willingness to obtain.
Able to meet Key Personnel requirements.
